DISCOVER YOUR PATH
Dr. Antonio's over 25 years of experience, training, and compassionate approach can help you discover your path to healing and recovery. She provides interventions for stress management, overcoming depression and anxiety, and accomplishment of personal and professional goals. Whether you are dealing with a history of trauma, marital/family conflicts, child/parenting issues, job stress, divorce, grief and loss, relationship issues, or other life problems, Dr. Antonio can provide you with an individualized treatment plan. Dr. Antonio works with teenagers, adults and senior patients.
Athough Dr. Antonio treats a wide variety of mental health disorders and life problems, she has special interest and training in treatment of Depression and Anxiety Disorders (Panic Disorders, Phobias, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, Trichotillomania, Posttraumatic Stress Disorders). She uses a variety of effective treatment approaches and techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The specific techniques utilized are selected to meet the needs of the individual patient.
Dr. Antonio is not a medical doctor and does not prescribe medications. Many people prefer to address their problems and symptoms in psychotherapy without the use of medications. However, at any time during your course of treatment Dr. Antonio can, with your consent, refer you for an evaluation by a psychiatrist or your primary care doctor for treatment recommendations. For some patients, a combination of therapy and medications is the most effective treatment approach.
A psychological evaluation is generally conducted to obtain information to help with making an accurate diagnosis and for treatment planning in complicated cases. Not all therapy patients need a psychological evaluation.
